Peer-To-Peer Support

Welcome to The Jackson Hope Foundation’s Peer-to-Peer Support page. Here, you’ll find a safe, open, and welcoming space to connect with others who understand what you’re going through. Whether you’re facing mental health challenges or simply need someone to talk to, we’re here to support each other every step of the way.

What We Offer
Our peer-to-peer support groups. We meet weekly, providing a space for individuals to connect, share, and offer support without judgment. Our groups are:

  • Free and open to anyone over the age of 18
  • Anonymous – your privacy and comfort are our priority. You don’t have to tell us your name, age, location
  • Supportive – we believe in the power of peer-to-peer support, and we’re here to listen, encourage, and help each other grow

Men's Groups

Men’s Hope Hub, a dedicated space for men to connect, share, and support one another through life’s challenges. We understand that mental health doesn’t follow a 9-to-5 schedule, which is why we’re here for you four times a week.

Women's Groups

Women’s Hope Hubs, a safe and welcoming space for women to come together, share their experiences, and support each other. At The Jackson Hope Foundation, we understand that mental health challenges don’t follow a schedule, and that’s why we’ve made our support groups available three times a week.

How The Groups Work

Welcome and Introduction

The lead facilitator will welcome everyone, go over the group’s rules to ensure a supportive environment, and share information about additional support available, including our mental health apps.

Group Rules

Question 1

The lead facilitator will now read the first question. After each question, they will provide their own answer before passing the talking ball to the next person.

If someone does not wish to answer, they can simply pass the talking ball to the next person.

Questions 2 and 3

The lead facilitator will now ask questions 2 and 3, passing the ball around the room to give everyone an opportunity to answer.

Break

We will now take a refreshment break for 10-15 minutes. After the break, we will reconvene and continue with questions 4 and 5.

Questions 4 and 5

The lead facilitator will now read questions 4 and 5, passing the ball around and allowing everyone to answer. These last two questions are usually quick-fire and are designed to lift the mood.

Closing Down and Further Help

At the end of the session, the lead facilitator will thank everyone for attending and have a brief chat with the group, offering any final thoughts or reflections. They will then remind everyone about the additional support available, including mental health apps, and encourage participants to reach out if they need further help. Finally, the lead facilitator will ask if there are any updates from the directors to share with the group.
